Augusta prepares for Halloween with community center events amid hurricane aftermath

Augusta, Georgia is gearing up for a series of Halloween events hosted by the city's community centers. These events provide an alternative to traditional neighborhood trick-or-treating, particularly following the impact of Hurricane Helene.

The Augusta Recreation & Parks Department has organized several "Trunk or Treat" events and other Halloween activities at various locations throughout the city. The schedule includes:

- October 22: Trunk or Treat Drive Through at Robert Howard from 6:30 pm to 8:30 pm

- October 24: Trunk or Treat on the Lump at Bernie Ward from 6 pm to 8 pm

- October 24: Trunk or Treat at Warren Road from 6 pm to 8 pm

- October 25: Trick or Treat in the Park at Sand Hills from 5 pm to 7 pm

- October 26: Trunk or Treat & Movie Night at Eastview from 6 pm to 10 pm

- October 26: Trunk or Treat Downtown at the Augusta Common from 5 pm to 8 pm

- October 28: Trunk or Treat at McDuffie Woods from 5:30 pm to 7:30 pm

- October 29: Trunk or Treat at Carrie J. Mays from 5 pm to 7 pm

- October 30: Boo Bash @ Brigham at Henry H. Brigham from 6 pm to 8 pm

- October 31: Trunk or Treat at May Park from 5 pm to 7 pm
