Congressman Rick W. Allen of Georgia's 12th district attended President Donald J. Trump's first Joint Address to Congress during his second term in office. After the speech, Congressman Allen shared his thoughts on the address.
Allen expressed his approval of President Trump's actions so far, stating, "President Trump is already making good on his promise to the American people." He credited the administration with reversing what he termed as "the many failures of President Biden" and praised the groundwork laid for what he described as "the New Golden Age of America."
He highlighted several points from President Trump's speech, noting efforts to secure borders, reclaim energy dominance, enhance competitiveness, and restore accountability in government. According to Allen, these initiatives mark "just the beginning of a historic new era of American strength."
Allen further mentioned specific achievements such as record lows in illegal border crossings, deportation of criminal illegal aliens, reduction in regulations, securing billions in new investments, international respect for the U.S., and ending unnecessary spending by taxpayers.
He concluded by acknowledging that 77 million Americans sought transformational change in Washington D.C., emphasizing that he and his colleagues would work closely with the administration to fulfill President Trump's agenda and renew what he called "the American Dream."
