Today, the U.S. House of Representatives approved H. Con. Res. 14, establishing the congressional budget for Fiscal Year 2025 and setting budgetary levels for Fiscal Years 2026 through 2034. Congressman Rick W. Allen (GA-12) expressed his support for the resolution in a statement following the vote.
"By passing today's budget framework, House Republicans are one step closer to fulfilling our promise to the American people and delivering President Trump's America First agenda," Allen stated. He criticized Democrats, saying they "continue to obstruct and distract," while emphasizing that his Republican colleagues are focused on key issues such as securing borders, reclaiming energy dominance, reducing government waste, preventing tax increases, ensuring peace through strength, and lowering costs.
Allen concluded by stating, "The contrast is clear."
