There were 1,187 students enrolled in Wilkes County School District in the 2022-23 school year, 4.4% less than the previous year, according to reports from the Georgia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52.1% of them were male, and 47.9% were female.

Data also shows that most of the students were Black, representing 49% of the Wilkes County School District's total enrollment.
