Enrollment at Jefferson County School District decreased by 4.9% compared to previous school year

There were 1,926 students enrolled in Jefferson County School District in the 2022-23 school year, 4.9% less than the previous year, according to reports from the Georgia Department of Education.

Of all the students welcomed in the 2022-23 school year, 52% of them were male, and 48% were female.

Data also shows that most of the students were Black, representing 70% of the Jefferson County School District's total enrollment.

Jefferson County School District roughly covers five schools within Jefferson County and has a main office in Louisville.

Among the five schools in Jefferson County School District, Jefferson County High School recorded the highest enrollment of 614 students in the 2022-23 school year.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
