Taliaferro County Education: 25 Hispanic students were enrolled in 2022-23 school year

There were 25 Hispanic students enrolled in Taliaferro County school in the 2022-23 school year, 7.4% less than the previous year, according to reports from the Georgia Department of Education.

Data showed that Taliaferro County welcomed 159 students during the 2022-23 school year. Among them, Hispanic students comprised 15.7% of the student body to be the second most represented ethnicity in the county.

Among the one schools in Taliaferro County, Taliaferro County School was the only school enrolling Hispanic students in the 2022-23 school year.

As of 2024, Georgia has an average student-to-teacher ratio of approximately 1:15, which is better than the national average of 1:16. The state has its best student-to-teacher ratio of 14:1 in pre-kindergarten and middle school grades, while high school has an average ratio of 17:1.
