TCSG Commissioner Greg Dozier and TCSG Assistant Commissioner for Adult Education Dr. Cayanna Good presented the award during the annual Dinah Culbreath Wayne EAGLE Institute at the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead on March 2.

"I am honored to receive the 2023 Outstanding Teacher of the Year award for adult education," stated Ms. Jenkins. "This award is a reflection of the investment our students make in their future. I am proud to be a part of the dream for a better quality of life through employability, a pathway towards post secondary opportunities, and becoming the trailblazer in their family by completing a long term goal. I am grateful to the Technical College System of Georgia for recognizing my part in the process, but I could not do this without the support of my Augusta Tech family."

The Adult Education OTOY program is designed to recognize and honor our most outstanding Adult Education teachers who make significant contributions to the field through instruction, innovation, and leadership. "We are extremely proud of Ms. Jenkin's accomplishments and know she’ll be an outstanding advocate for adult education throughout the state this coming year," stated College President Dr. Jermaine Whirl. "Moreover, tonight was history making as our institution now has three statewide winners. This is a true testament to the quality of faculty we have in our adult education program. Thanks to the leadership of Dean Angela Moseley, the entire faculty, and staff for their continued dedication to excellence. Go Cougars!"
