AUGUSTA TECHNICAL COLLEGE: Augusta Technical College Announces Appointment of Julie Langham as Dean for Academic Affairs

Augusta Technical College issued the following announcement on Jan. 10. 

Augusta Technical College is excited to announce the appointment of Mrs. Julie Langham as the new Dean for Academic Affairs.

Julie Langham holds a Bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Augusta University and a Master’s degree in Higher Education and Administration from Troy University. She has worked in higher education for 22 years and has been with the College since 2002.

Langham currently serves as the college’s Dean of Satellite Campuses, which include locations in Thomson/McDuffie, Columbia County and Waynesboro/Burke. As dean of satellite campuses, she has managed faculty, staff, and assisted in program management.

“I am excited for the opportunity to join the Academic Affairs team and I look forward to serving the College in a greater capacity,” stated Mrs. Langham.

Mrs. Langham, who has served in both academic and student affairs at the college, and as dean since 2013 will support the Office of the Provost.

"I have had the pleasure of working with Mrs. Laghman for many years," stated College Provost Dr. Melissa Frank-Alston. "She is a proven leader who brings a broad range of experiences to this deanship."

Langham serves on many College and community civic groups and boards including Rotary Club of Thomson (former president), WorkSource East Central Georgia Board, UGA Archway Executive Board, United Way Board of Directors, Partners for Success (2021 Chairwoman), Columbia County CTAE Advisory Board, and is a Leadership McDuffie Graduate.

Langham is married to Van Langham of Thomson, GA, and they have one child.
