Augusta University issued the following announcement on Jan. 6.
Augusta University, Augusta Technical College and Paine College have partnered to host the annual Martin Luther King Jr. tri-college birthday celebration January 14 at the Maxwell Theatre. The keynote speaker is Dr. Roscoe Williams, the first African American faculty or staff to be hired at Augusta College in 1970. Dr. Williams also served as the former dean of students, retiring in 1997 after 27 years of service. Click for in-person and virtual event information.
