Columbia County issued the following announcement on July 17.
Columbia County, in cooperation with Beam’s Contracting, Inc., wishes to inform the driving public of a temporary lane closure with lane shift on Flowing Wells Road. The lane closure will be to install Stormwater utilities on the southbound side of Flowing Wells Road from the intersection of Braddock Street to Flintrock Way. The lane closure will start Wednesday, July 21, 2021, to Wednesday, August 04, 2021. Expect delays please seek an alternate route if possible.
When the lane closure is in effect, southbound thru traffic will be shifted into the turn lanes on Flowing Wells Road at Bussey Lane.
Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; watch for advanced warning signs; obey road crew flaggers; and expect the unexpected. If possible, please plan to take an alternate route and/or allow additional time for commuting during this timeframe.
