Temporary Closure of Mayor’s Fishing Pond Extended

Due to recent heavy rainfall in the Augusta area, the Mayor’s Fishing Pond, located at 1823 Lock and Dam Road, has flooded and will remain closed to public fishing until July 23, 2022, out of caution. Therefore, the scheduled Mayor’s Fishing Derby scheduled for July 9, 2022, at the pond will be rescheduled for a later date. Derby participants who have questions about this event should call 706-823-4399.
