Due to recent heavy rainfall in the Augusta area, the Mayor’s Fishing Pond, located at 1823 Lock and Dam Road, has flooded and will remain closed to public fishing until July 23, 2022, out of caution. Therefore, the scheduled Mayor’s Fishing Derby scheduled for July 9, 2022, at the pond will be rescheduled for a later date. Derby participants who have questions about this event should call 706-823-4399.

The Augusta Juvenile Court is set to honor eleven students who have completed significant educational milestones at a graduation ceremony on March 12.
Augusta Regional Airport will host a free two-week summer camp for local high school students in partnership with the Georgia Institute of Technology.
