U.S. Congressman Rick W. Allen has announced the 2025 Congressional Art Competition, inviting high school students from Georgia's 12th District to participate. The annual event, sponsored by members of the U.S. House of Representatives, allows young artists in grades 9 through 12 to showcase their talents on a national stage.

The winning artwork will be displayed for one year in the U.S. Capitol, and the student artist will receive an invitation to attend a reception for national winners in Washington, D.C.

"The Congressional Art Competition is a special tradition that provides high school students the opportunity to display their art for the country to see. I look forward to seeing submissions from our young artists in Georgia’s 12th District, and encourage all interested high school students to participate," said Congressman Allen.

Participants are required to submit original works that depict life in Georgia's 12th District. The deadline for submission is April 16th, with three designated drop-off locations:

- Augusta District Office: Submissions can be made Monday-Friday from 9 am–5 pm.

- Dublin District Office: Open for submissions on Monday, March 31st and Monday, April 7th from 9 am–5 pm.

- Statesboro District Office: Accepting entries Monday-Friday from 9 am–5 pm.

For further details and official rules, participants are encouraged to visit Congressman Allen's website or contact Christine Rhodes at the Augusta District Office via phone or email.
