Rick W. Allen, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Georgia's 12th district since 2015, has been actively sharing his views and activities on social media. Born in Augusta, Georgia in 1951, Allen is an Auburn University alumnus and currently resides in his hometown.

On January 27, 2025, Allen expressed his support for school choice through a tweet. He emphasized its importance by stating that "School choice is paramount to increasing educational gains for all children." This message was shared during National School Choice Week, highlighting the commitment of the House GOP to promote educational freedom.

Two days later, on January 29, 2025, Allen tweeted about attending an event at the White House with President Biden and his colleagues from the Georgia Delegation. He invited followers to "tune in here at 2:00 PM" to witness the signing of the Laken Riley Act into law.

Later that day, he announced via Twitter that "BREAKING: @POTUS just signed the Laken Riley Act into law." He added a personal note stating their commitment to preserving Laken's memory.
