Rick W. Allen, a member of the U.S. Congress representing Georgia's 12th district since 2015, has shared several updates on social media regarding recent political developments and legislative actions. Allen, who was born in Augusta, Georgia in 1951 and graduated from Auburn University in 1973, continues to engage with his constituents through various platforms.

On December 10, 2024, Allen congratulated his colleague "my friend @RepGuthrie on being selected as the next Chair of @HouseCommerce!" He expressed anticipation for working under Guthrie's leadership to implement policies focused on reducing energy costs, enhancing healthcare transparency, and addressing challenges posed by Communist China.

Later that day, Allen announced the passage of the final version of the 2024 Water Resources Development Act. In his tweet "JUST PASSED: The final version of the 2024 Water Resources Development Act", he highlighted that it includes provisions for repairing the New Savannah Bluff Lock and Dam while maintaining a pool level at 114.5 feet. He noted the bipartisan support for this legislation.

On December 11, 2024, Allen emphasized the importance of restoring America's global strength through legislative measures. He stated "We MUST restore America's strength on the world stage." The FY2025 National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA), according to him, aims to improve servicemembers' quality of life, deter actions by the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), address border issues, and eliminate inefficient programs.
