Congressman Rick W. Allen has expressed his support for the nomination of Doug Collins as Secretary of the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs by President-Elect Donald Trump. In a statement, Allen congratulated Collins and his family on the nomination, describing it as "well-deserved."

Allen emphasized his long-standing relationship with Collins, noting their years of service together in Congress. He praised Collins for his dedication to veterans and military families, stating, "I have witnessed firsthand his commitment to fighting for those who have served this country in uniform, as he did."

The congressman urged the Senate to expedite the confirmation process for Collins' appointment, asserting that veterans deserve a strong advocate in Washington.

"Robin and I send our sincerest congratulations to Doug and his entire family," Allen said. "Our veterans and military families deserve the best after their selfless service and they could not ask for a better advocate in Washington."

Collins' nomination is part of President Trump's Cabinet appointments as he prepares to take office.
