Augusta Transit offers free rides on Election Day across all routes

Augusta Transit announced it will provide free rides on Election Day, November 5th, to support voters in Richmond County. This service extends to all bus routes and aims to facilitate voting, grocery shopping, medical appointments, or leisure travel.

The transit system is equipped to accommodate individuals with disabilities in compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act. For those requiring additional assistance and door-to-door service, reservations must be made by November 4th at 5 p.m. through Augusta Transit at (706) 821-1819. Same-day reservations are not accepted.

Residents of Blythe and McBean can arrange transportation with Richmond Transit by calling (706) 821-1497 before the reservation deadline on November 4th at 5 p.m.

To find bus routes and schedules or determine which bus will reach a specific destination, individuals can contact Augusta Transit at (706) 821-1719 from Monday to Saturday between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.
