The City of Augusta Landfill has announced an extension of its Saturday hours to support Richmond County residents in disposing of debris. This change is intended to offer more opportunities for those needing to clear storm-related or seasonal yard waste. The regular fees will still apply.

The extended hours are scheduled for Saturday, November 2, 2024. From 6:00 am to 10:00 am, the landfill will operate under normal conditions, accepting all types of waste. From 10:00 am to 3:00 pm, only storm vegetation debris will be accepted. It is important to note that no commercial customers will be allowed after 10:00 am.

Residents are encouraged to utilize these extended hours for disposing of vegetation debris.
