The Augusta Fire/EMA Department, in partnership with the Augusta-Richmond County Tax Assessor’s Office, is currently performing damage assessments across the city following Hurricane Helene. Teams from both departments are visiting different areas to evaluate property damage. These assessments are required by GEMA and FEMA to document the extent of damage and are not connected to any financial assistance programs.

To aid this process, a self-reporting website has been established for residents and business owners to report damage to their homes or commercial properties. The platform allows users to upload information and photos of structural damage. It is advised not to report fallen debris such as trees, utility poles, or wires on this site.

Access the self-reporting website through the provided link.
