The transit update for Tuesday, October 15, 2024, states that all routes, including Fixed Route, Paratransit, and Richmond Transit, will follow their regular schedules. However, there is a specific change to the Route 1 Blue Line/Walton Way service.
While the Route 1 Blue Line/Walton Way will operate on its regular schedule, it will not travel on Walton Way between Baker Avenue and Monte Sano Avenue/Lake Forest Drive. Instead, a temporary detour has been set up using Baker Avenue and Central Avenue. This detour affects riders traveling to certain locations.
Passengers heading to or from the Bon Air Apartments will need to walk to Baker Avenue and Walton Way to board or alight from the bus. Similarly, those traveling to Augusta University Summerville Campus should walk to Central Avenue/Stovall Street for boarding or alighting.
