Augusta, Georgia Offices to Close for Good Friday

In observance of Good Friday, various offices in Augusta, Georgia will be closed on Friday, March 29, 2024. The closures are part of the city's recognition of the holiday.

The Augusta Municipal Building will be one of the facilities closed on this day, with normal business hours resuming on Monday, April 1, 2024. According to the announcement, "The Augusta Municipal Building will be closed Friday, March 29, 2024."

For those in need of assistance, the Augusta 311 Center will be open from 8:30 am to 5 pm on March 29, 2024. Augusta Transit services, including fixed routes, demand response, and rural transit, will operate as usual on that day.

All Augusta Utilities offices, including Customer Service locations, will be closed on March 29, 2024, and will reopen on April 1, 2024. In case of emergencies not related to billing, individuals are advised to call 706-842-3060.

Regarding Parks and Recreation, the administrative office, community centers, the Augusta Aquatic Center, athletic offices, and rental offices will be closed on March 29, 2024. The Newman Tennis Center will be open on March 29 and 30, but closed on Sunday, March 31, before resuming normal operations on Monday, April 1, 2024.

Trash collection and landfill services, including garbage collection and the Augusta Landfill, will continue their regular hours of operation on March 29, 2024.
