Census Bureau: 87.4% of people in Taliaferro County were old enough to vote in 2021

Of the 1,574 citizens living in Taliaferro County in 2021, 87.4% were old enough to vote, equating to 1,376 individuals, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained on Oct. 26.

Further breakdown reveals that of the voting-eligible population, 671 were male, constituting 48.8%, and 705 were female, making up 51.2%.

The percentage of citizens old enough to vote in Taliaferro County during 2021 was higher than the state average, which stands at 76.2%.
