County staff held four Public Information Listening Sessions regarding projects that could potentially make the proposed 2023-2028 SPLOST (Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) list that may appear on the November 8, 2022 General Election Ballot. The public information sessions were held on June 6 at Martinez Elementary School; June 9 at Columbia County Courthouse - Appling; June 20 at Evans Auditorium; and June 23 at Grace Baptist Church from 6:00-8:00 PM.
The proposed list will go before the Management and Internal Services (MIS) Committee on Tuesday, July 12th at 8:30AM in the Evans Auditorium (630 Ronald Reagan Drive, Building A). For any public that would like to speak to the list, we encourage you to attend this meeting. If the list is accepted by the MIS Committee, it will go before the full Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, July 19th at 6:00PM in the Evans Auditorium.
Once a 2023-2028 SPLOST project list is approved by the Board of Commissioners on Tuesday, July 19th, the final list with more information will be provided on the county website.
