Columbia County issued the following announcement on May 20.
Columbia County invites our local media representatives and general public to attend Public Information Listening Sessions regarding the proposed 2023-2028 SPLOST (Special Purpose Local Option Sales Tax) project list that may appear on the November 8, 2022 General Election ballot.
The Public Information Listening Sessions are for county representatives to receive public input from our citizens in regards to the proposed 2023-2028 SPLOST project list. Staff will be on site to give an overview of the projects, answer any questions the public may have, and gather feedback in regards to other potential projects the public would like to see on the ballot. There will be no formal presentation.
There will be a total of four Public Information Open Houses with one in each district. However, you are not required to live in the district to attend.
