Of the 833 people living in Appling in 2020, 27.7 percent (231) were women and 72.3 percent (602) were men, according to U.S. Census Bureau data obtained by the East Central Georgia News.

Males 18 and over outnumbered females in the same age group by 65. All 176 individuals in the 65 and over age range were men.
