CHATHAM COUNTY: Chatham County Public Works Responds to Sewage Spill

Chatham County issued the following announcement on Mar. 29. 

On March 28, 2022, Chatham County experienced a sewer spill that released 7,069 gallons of raw sewage into Herb Creek. This was caused by damages to the Chatham County force main pipe. Chatham County Public works has conducted all repairs and placed lime at the entrance of Herb Creek. All agencies were notified per State guidelines.
