AUGUSTA TECHNICAL COLLEGE: Augusta Technical College Appoints New Members to Foundation Board of Trustees

Augusta Technical College issued the following announcement on Feb. 24.

Augusta Technical College is pleased to announce the appointment of four new members to its Foundation Board of Trustees: Reyne Gallup- Chief Operating Officer, University Health Care System; Jane Marie Kinsey- Vice President, McKnight Construction; Gunnar Kleveland- President and CEO, Textron Specialized Vehicles Inc.; and Marissa Smith- Senior Vice President, Market Executive, Bank of America.

The addition of these new members will help educate the community about technical education and expand the potential support of Augusta Technical College through charitable giving opportunities, which will in turn benefit

students, programs and expanded facilities.

"The Augusta Tech Family is elated to have these four individuals join our distinguish board. We know they will be essential in moving our institution forward while helping to tell our story to the broader community," stated Augusta Technical College President Dr. Jermaine Whirl.

‘We are honored to have such a distinguished group of Augustans joining the foundation," stated Randy Hatcher, President of MAU Workforce Solutions. They will help us change Augusta’s future by better educating more people with better programming, and preparing them for the jobs now and those in the future.

The mission of the Augusta Technical College Foundation is to provide support and advocate educational excellence and expansion of educational opportunities of Augusta Technical College by means of:

  • Voluntary leadership and assistance with fundraising activities
  • Fiduciary care of the Foundation’s assets for the long term benefit and enhancement of the College
  • Provide broad advice, consultation, and support of the President of the College in carrying out the mission of Augusta Technical College
The College has nearly 60 years of history as an outstanding higher education institution, and it is our outstanding alumni that have helped make this possible. We have had the pleasure of being a part of your success, and we want you to be a part of our continued success as a college.
