Columbia County issued the following announcement on Feb. 18.
Temporary Lane Closure with lane shift on Furys Ferry Road
Columbia County, in cooperation with South East Connection, wishes to inform the driving public of a temporary lane closure with lane shift on Furys Ferry Road. The lane closure will be to relocate utilities in the southbound lane of Furys Ferry Road from Bridlewood Trail to Southern Pines Drive. The lane closure will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Monday, February 21, 2022, thru Friday, February 25, 2022. Expect delays. Please seek an alternate route if possible.
Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; watch for advanced warning signs; obey road crew flaggers; and expect the unexpected. If possible, please plan to take an alternate route and/or allow additional time for commuting during this timeframe.
