Columbia County issued the following announcement on Feb. 11.
Columbia County, in cooperation with E.R. SNELL, wishes to inform the driving public of an intermittent, temporary lane closure with lane shift on Lewiston Road. The lane closure will be the right, southbound lane of Lewiston Road from William Few Pkwy to Steiner Way. The intermittent lane closure will be from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. starting Monday, February 14, 2022, thru Friday, February 25, 2022. Expect delays. Please seek an alternate route if possible.
The temporary lane closure is associated with the roadway-widening project for Lewiston Road.
Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; watch for advanced warning signs; obey road crew flaggers; and expect the unexpected. If possible, please plan to take an alternate route and/or allow additional time for commuting during this timeframe.
