Columbia County issued the following announcement on Jan. 7.
EXTENDED Temporary Lane Closure with Lane Shift on William Few Parkway
Columbia County, in cooperation with South East Connection, wishes to inform the driving public of a temporary lane closure with lane shift on William Few Parkway. The lane closure will be for utility work in the eastbound lane ±400’ west from the intersection of Lewiston Road. The lane closure will be from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Thursday, January 06, 2022 through Tuesday, January 11, 2022. Expect delays. Please seek an alternate route if possible.
Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; watch for advanced warning signs; obey road crew flaggers; and expect the unexpected. If possible, please plan to take an alternate route and/or allow additional time for commuting during this timeframe.
