Jefferson Hospital issued the following announcement on Dec. 29.
Jefferson Hospital continues to welcome Dr. Christopher Hogan from Doctors Hospital of Augusta. He will be providing surgical services in our Multi-Specialty Clinic.
Dr. Christopher Hogan earned a bachelor's degree in biology and psychology (with a minor in chemistry) from Berry College. While at Berry, Dr. Hogan participated in several research efforts including nerve regeneration and movement, limb locomotion in rats and problem solving in children. He spent nearly a year researching molecular biology and neuroanatomy at Colorado State University, before enrolling at the Mercer University School of Medicine, where he earned his medical degree. He completed his internal medicine internship, a general surgery residency and surgical critical care fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia. He is also a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons.
