Eisenhower Army Medical Center issued the following announcement on Nov. 16.
Pfizer vaccines available beginning Friday for 5 year olds and above.
Beginning Friday, Nov. 19: Pfizer vaccines will be available for individuals 5 years old and older. The vaccination location will be Bldg. No. NRP322 (adjacent to Tingay Dental Clinic) from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Appointments for 5-11 year olds will be available Fridays only. All minors must be accompanied by parent/guardian.
Patients must schedule an appointment using the following link prior to arrival. No walk-ins will be available: https://informatics-stage.health.mil/COVAX/
Pfizer vaccine boosters are currently available for the following specified populations:
-People 65 and older and residents in long-term care
-18-64 with underlying medical conditions (such as cancer, kidney disease, lung disease, heart disease, obesity, pregnancy, diabetes or any immunocompromising condition)
-18-64 who live/work in high risk settings (first responders, education staff, public transport, grocery store workers, etc.)
Booster doses must be at least six months apart from last COVID vaccine.
If you received a primary Moderna series: you have the option to use a Pfizer dose as a booster. We currently do not have Moderna in stock but has been ordered.
