Columbia County issued the following announcement on Oct. 23.
Congratulations to Firefighter Spencer Quick on winning and being recognized as Firefighter of the Year by the Columbia County Exchange Club!
Firefighter Quick was nominated for showing his readiness to serve his community by acting quickly and professionally during a structure fire on April 9, 2021. He was able to complete the task of the first in Engine Company to include the role of driver, rescue, suppression, and incident commander.
