CITY OF AUGUSTA: The City of Augusta requires masks or face coverings in all City facilities

City of Augusta issued the following announcement on Oct. 12. 

Augusta, Georgia Commissioners voted on October 5, 2021, to approve the requirement of masks or face coverings in all City of Augusta facilities. As part of the requirement, all persons entering or working in any City of Augusta facilities over the age of two will be required to wear a mask. Individuals who do not have a face covering or mask will be provided with one.

The enforcement of this directive will take effect on Monday, Oct. 25, pending the approval of the requirement by the Augusta Commission on Tuesday, Oct. 19. If approved, the requirement will remain in effect until modified or rescinded by the Augusta Commission.

* This stipulation does not apply to judicial facilities, which are under the authority of the Chief Superior Court Judge, or concerts at the James Brown Arena, Bell Auditorium, and other entertainment facilities and activities.
