County of Burke issued the following announcement on July 23.
Hwy 56 bridge opening delayed again
Contractors have more work to complete and some to correct before the Hwy 56 bridge outside Midville reopens to drivers, removing the off-site detour.
We anticipate “open to traffic” status at this new bridge by Saturday, July 31.
