Savannah Chatham County Public School System issued the following announcement on May 12. 

U.S. News & World Report has released their rankings of the nation’s top high schools for 2022 and 6 Savannah-Chatham County Public High Schools were among the top schools in the state.  

Savannah Arts Academy is recognized as the 276th best high school in the United States and 7th in the state of Georgia.   Also, receiving recognition:

Woodville-Tompkins Technical and Career High School

#120 in Georgia Rankings

Savannah Early College High School

#132 in Georgia Rankings

 Islands High School

#188 in Georgia Rankings

 Johnson High School

#297 in Georgia Rankings

 Jenkins High School

#305 in Georgia Rankings

 The U.S. News rankings include data on nearly 24,000 public high schools in 50 states and the District of Columbia. In addition to traditional high schools, the rankings encompass charter; magnet; and science, technology, engineering and math-focused schools.
