Rick W. Allen, the U.S. Congressman representing Georgia’s 12th District since 2015, engaged with his audience on Twitter over the course of April 1 and April 2, 2025. Known for replacing John Barrow in Congress, Allen highlighted various issues and events reflecting his insights and opinions.

On April 1, 2025, Allen expressed his support for the annual Augusta National Women’s Amateur golf tournament, wishing the participants good fortune by saying, “Best of luck to the world-class players competing in this year’s Augusta National Women’s Amateur! #ANWAgolf “

In another post later the same day, Allen addressed the situation at the U.S. southern border, crediting the current administration for a reduction in illegal border crossings. He stated, “Illegal southern border crossings reached another new low last month under the leadership of @POTUS and @Sec_Noem. This is a drastic improvement from the lawlessness and chaos we saw during the Biden Administration. Promises made, promises kept!”

On April 2, 2025, Allen discussed the challenges facing small businesses in providing health care benefits to employees. Drawing from his personal experience, he remarked, “As a small business owner, I learned firsthand that investing in my employees’ health paid long-term dividends. Unfortunately, it is getting more challenging for businesses of all sizes to offer competitive health care benefits to their employees. @EdWorkforceCmte has solutions.”
