Rick W. Allen, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia’s 12th District since 2015, recently took to social media to address various issues of national and international concern.

On February 20, 2025, Allen highlighted concerns over taxpayer funds, tweeting that “@DOGE discovered $2 billion in taxpayer funds set aside for a fledgling nonprofit linked to perennial Georgia Democratic candidate Stacey Abrams.” He further expressed that the misuse of taxpayer money is coming to an end.

Later the same day, at 18:35 UTC, Allen commented on international affairs with a statement about violence involving hostages. He remarked on the situation by stating that “The brutal murders of these four innocent hostages are an act of pure evil and yet another example of Hamas’ depravity.” He extended condolences to the families affected by this tragedy.

In another post made at 20:59 UTC on February 20, Allen voiced his support for legislative efforts related to taxation. He stated his endorsement for @RepFeenstra’s Death Tax Repeal Act, emphasizing that family farms and small businesses should not be burdened with taxes when transferring ownership across generations.
