Rick W. Allen, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia’s 12th district since 2015, has been active on social media discussing legislative and policy matters. Born in Augusta, Georgia in 1951, Allen graduated from Auburn University in 1973 with a Bachelor of Science degree.

On March 13, 2025, Allen expressed support for the Environmental Protection Agency’s recent deregulatory actions. He stated that these measures would “help lower costs for American families, restore energy independence, and protect our environment.” He also mentioned that @epaleezeldin understands the balance between enhancing America’s energy capabilities and environmental stewardship.

The following day, March 14, 2025, Allen announced his pride in reintroducing the Startup Act alongside Representative DeSaulnier. He described it as a bipartisan effort to “support American entrepreneurs by expanding access to programs that offer training and resources to individuals seeking to start their own businesses.”

Later on March 14, he posted a brief message of gratitude: “We appreciate your support!”
