Rick W. Allen, a U.S. Congressman representing Georgia’s 12th district since 2015, recently shared several updates via social media. These posts highlight key issues and initiatives that he supports.

On March 24, 2025, Allen announced the issuance of “$10 billion in direct economic assistance payments” through the Emergency Commodity Assistance Program to aid agricultural producers facing increased input costs and declining commodity prices for the 2024 crop year. He expressed his pride in supporting this funding initiative. “I was proud to vote in support of this funding”.

In another post on March 26, 2025, Allen addressed efforts by Democrats regarding workers’ rights during union elections. He emphasized the importance of the Secret Ballot Protection Act, which aims to ensure that every vote cast to unionize a workplace is done through a secret ballot. According to him, this measure would protect against threats posed by deceptive practices associated with other voting methods. “Democrats have been attempting to undermine workers’ rights to privacy in the union election process for years.”

Later on March 26, Allen shared his anticipation for chairing the first H.E.L.P Subcommittee hearing under the Education and Workforce Committee (@EdWorkforceCmte). He invited followers to tune into this upcoming session scheduled for next week. “Looking forward to chairing our first @EdWorkforceCmte H.E.L.P Subcommittee hearing.”
