In a bid to ensure transparency and provide comprehensive news coverage of local governmental affairs, we at East Central Georgia News have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Warren County Election Department. The request was made under the Georgia Open Records Act ยง 50.18.70 et seq., and we asked for the information in electronic format.

The details requested include a list of all candidates running in the upcoming election. We asked for each candidate’s first, middle, and last names; the office they are running for; their jurisdiction; and their party affiliation.

In addition to these details, we also requested contact information for each candidate. This includes their address, phone number, and email address.
