Columbia County issued the following announcement on Apr. 21.
Columbia County Water Utility wishes to inform the driving public of a temporary Road closure on Inverness Way. The road closure will be from the intersection of West Lake Drive to High Hampton Drive and is to replace storm water utilities. The road closure will be from Monday, April 25, 2022, to Wednesday, May 25, 2022.
Through traffic will not be allowed on this section of Inverness Way. Detour Route will be will be posted.
Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; watch for advanced warning signs; obey road crew flaggers; and expect the unexpected. If possible, please plan to take an alternate route and/or allow additional time for commuting during this timeframe.
