Columbia County issued the following announcement on Feb. 26. 

Columbia County, in cooperation with South East Connection, wishes to inform the driving public of a temporary lane closure with lane shift on Colony Drive. The lane closure will be to relocate utilities in the westbound lane of Colony Drive from Colony Square to Blackstone Camp Road. The lane closure will be from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, March 01, 2022, thru Friday, March 04, 2022. Expect delays. Please seek an alternate route if possible.  

Whenever you approach a work zone: slow down; allow extra distance between vehicles; watch for advanced warning signs; obey road crew flaggers; and expect the unexpected. If possible, please plan to take an alternate route and/or allow additional time for commuting during this timeframe.
