CITY OF AUGUSTA: Recycle Scrap Tires On May 21

City of Augusta issued the following announcement on May 10. 

Augusta Environmental Services is holding a scrap tire recycling event on Saturday, May 21, 2022, from 8am to 12pm at the Augusta-Richmond County Landfill, 4330 Deans Bridge Rd. 

  • Richmond County residents may bring an unlimited amount of automotive tires. 
  • Individuals can recycle unwanted scrap tires free of charge during this event.
  • Tires may be on or off the rim.
  • Tires will not be accepted from businesses or commercial customers. Business vehicles are not permitted.
  • Must provide proof of Richmond County residency.

As a reminder, scrap tires are not picked up during curbside collections.
