City of Augusta issued the following announcement on May 4. 

The elevators in the Augusta Municipal Building will be temporarily closed Friday, May 6, 2022, for repairs. However, City offices will remain open for walk-in business, and residents are encouraged to correspond with City personnel by phone or email. Residents who have any questions regarding this matter are asked to call Augusta 311.
