Chatham County issued the following announcement on May 4. 

Due to the potential for poor weather, the monthly siren test scheduled
for today has been rescheduled for Friday, May 6, 2022 at noon.
WHAT: Emergency Outdoor Warning Siren Test Rescheduled
WHEN: Friday, May 6, 2022, 12:00 PM
WHERE: Chatham County
DETAILS:
At noon Friday, Chatham County residents will hear a one-minute emergency tone from the various sirens located throughout the county. This monthly test is necessary to ensure that the Emergency Warning Siren 

System is functioning properly.
