Augusta Technical College issued the following announcement on Mar. 30.
The Augusta Technical College Board of Directors, Faculty and Staff, and the 2022 Graduating Class invite the community to
attend their commencement ceremony on Saturday, May 14, 2022, at 1:00pm at the James Brown Arena.
The ceremony will include graduates from the Adult Education program and the Schools of Arts and Sciences; Aviation, Industrial and Engineering Technology; Business; Cyber and Design Media; Health Sciences; and Public and Professional Services.
Dr. Tony Robinson, Vice President of Strategic Initiatives at RSI, a national Information technology professional services firm with several locations and clients across the U.S., has been selected as the 2022 Augusta Technical College Commencement Keynote Speaker.
In addition to holding a Ph.D. in strategic management with an emphasis in entrepreneurship, Dr. Robinson has a Master of Science in Organizational Change and Development, a Master of Business Administration and a Bachelor of Business Administration with an emphasis in finance. Dr. Robinson frequently conducts research and speaks on topics of relevance to small and large businesses, new
ventures, strategic planning and marketing planning.
Dr. Robinson has published articles and presented at numerous international conferences (where his research has received Best Paper Awards) on the topics of entrepreneurship and innovation. He compliments his strong research and academic background with over twenty years of combined experience in business management and consulting. He provides strategic planning, marketing and entrepreneurial advice and services to organizations and communities regarding a variety of initiatives and has facilitated strategic planning for groups including Universities, Technical Colleges, Professional Services firms, Foundations and Non- Profits.
Dr. Jamyle J.D. Searcy, Pastor of New Direction Christian Center in Augusta, Georgia, will serve as guest pastor and give the invocation and benediction for the ceremony.
The Augusta Technical College 2022 Commencement Ceremony will also be streamed virtually via the college’s Facebook page.
