Allen Reacts to President Biden's State of the Union Address

Congressman Rick W. Allen (GA-12) expressed his disappointment with President Joe Biden's recent State of the Union Address. Allen criticized the President for being out of touch with the American people and for not taking responsibility for the border crisis, stating, "President Biden placed blame and shirked responsibility for his self-inflicted border crisis."

Allen also questioned the President's focus on the economy, mentioning that despite Biden's positive outlook, concerns about inflation remain prevalent among American families. Regarding foreign policy, Allen accused Biden of prioritizing partisan politics over addressing failures that have emboldened adversaries, remarking, "He was more focused on giving a partisan campaign speech than addressing his disastrous foreign policy failures that have emboldened our adversaries."

In conclusion, Allen characterized the President's speech as "simply more of the same divisive rhetoric" and emphasized the need to change course for the betterment of the country. He expressed skepticism about Biden's willingness to take effective actions, stating, "The President could take many actions right now with the stroke of a pen to return our country to prosperity, but I remain doubtful he will do so." Despite his doubts, Allen affirmed that the House of Representatives would continue to serve as a check and balance to President Biden's policies.
