Augusta 311 has unveiled a new AI-powered customer service solution named Ask Gus, in collaboration with Citibot, a provider of interactive chat solutions for local governments. According to a spokesperson from Augusta 311, "With Ask Gus, users can quickly and easily get answers to their questions, find information on various city services, submit service requests or send a message to staff."

The new chatbot offers automated web and text features that are accessible 24/7. Users can access Ask Gus through the city's website, where it is prominently displayed on the bottom right section of the browser window. By clicking on the icon, users can initiate a chat and receive prompt assistance.

Residents can also engage with Ask Gus via text message by sending "Hello" to (866) 788-4487 (4GUS). Upon doing so, Ask Gus immediately responds with a brief greeting outlining the ways in which users can utilize the service.

In a statement, Augusta 311 encouraged users to try out this new feature and provide feedback as the city aims to enhance its non-emergency, city-related services. For more information or assistance, individuals can contact Augusta 311 at 706-821-2300.
