U.S. Congressman Rick W. Allen (GA-12) has unveiled the details of the 2024 Congressional Art Competition, inviting high school students in Georgia’s 12th District to showcase their artistic talents. The winning artwork will be displayed in the U.S. Capitol for a year, with the student artist receiving an invitation to a national winners’ reception in Washington, D.C.

"The Congressional Art Competition is a special tradition that provides high school students the opportunity to display their art for the country to see. I look forward to seeing submissions from our young artists in Georgia’s 12th District, and encourage all interested high school students to participate," Congressman Allen expressed.

Artwork submissions must be original and focus on depicting life in the 12th District of Georgia. The deadline for submissions is April 19th, and entries can be dropped off at designated locations in Augusta, Dublin, and Statesboro.

For those in the Augusta area, submissions can be made at the Augusta District Office on Perimeter Parkway. In Dublin, artwork can be dropped off at the Dublin District Office on S. Church Street, while in Statesboro, submissions will be accepted at the Statesboro District Office on East Main Street.

To learn more about the competition and its official rules, interested participants can visit the competition's official webpage at https://allen.house.gov/constituent-services/arts-competition.htm. For any inquiries or additional questions, individuals are encouraged to reach out to Christine Rhodes at the Augusta District Office.
